Positive Expectancy – How To Expect Good Things Coming

In the midst of having many desires you want to be manifested in your life, how do you shore up your belief that they will happen in the future? How do you increase positive expectancy for your life’s desires? Well the good thing is, positive expectation is something you can train yourself and your mind to be adept at.

And in this article, I will share 5 tips that you can practically do on how to expect good things to happen and create a habit of expectation for good things to come, instead of thinking in the opposite direction.

1. Choose to see the positive aspects in your present moment to build momentum for a positive future.

When you are continuously tuning in to the good things that are happening in your present environment, you are sending out positive vibrations that will then attract and line up more positive circumstances for your future. You are always getting in life more of what you’re currently putting out. And when you make this correlation between appreciating where you are and the beautiful things coming as a result, your expectation for more good things to happen will be strengthened as you constantly maintain this appreciation for the present.

When you are consciously putting out pleasing vibrations, you will then come to expect more wonderful things coming back to you. That’s how consistent the law of attraction is. The essence of what you put out is what you will also get back. As you practice this, expecting good things will become natural to you because you already know how it works — you already know that a positive perspective of the present creates a positive effect for the future.

2. Bridge the gap between your desire and your belief.

When you make it your habit to constantly talk yourself into believing the possibility and the high probability of what you want coming true, then you are bridging the gap between what you want and what you believe about it. You are creating positive expectation within you that the thing you desire is certain to come in your future. One way of doing this is by constantly thinking about all your past desires that have already come true for you, whether it may be big or small desires. You begin shoring up and supporting your beliefs that your current desires are also coming true just like it did before. You are putting more emphasis on the things that have gone right in the past, and expecting what you want now becomes an easy and logical thing for you. As you lessen this gap between your desires and beliefs, it becomes normal to positively expect it to come because you already believe in it and your thoughts are fully supporting it.

3. Notice less of what is not happening or what is not pleasing.

When you don’t let the things that are not yet happening be active in you, then you maintain an energy that is more on the positive end. You are not messing your thoughts and vibrations with what is lacking or with something going wrong. When you use your ability to focus to look forward more into what is still to come, instead of what has not yet happened, then you are establishing a positive anticipation, rather than holding yourself in the past.

Flow along with the positive unfolding of your path. This will create the trust that the next event will unfold perfectly and would then lead to the next and the next. Shift your focus and attention towards a bright future by prioritizing the way you feel and letting go of thoughts that interfere with a positive end result. When your attention is on what you do want to happen, the tendency to negatively expect will subside.

4. Add positive energy towards what you want by talking about the pieces of what’s in your future.

Add more momentum towards the things you want in your future and create the feeling place of having already received them. You can do this by practicing the feelings of being in a thankful and blessed state, and thus also aligning more with positively expecting for your future. As you talk about the future and envision what it will contain, getting specific and savoring the pieces as if you are enjoying it now, you are producing the energy of excitement and eagerness, which are also the same energies you feel as you greatly expect your desires to happen. You envision the future for the pleasurable feeling it brings, and then you let go of the manner as to how the pieces will come in the future.

5. Take baby action steps from where you are and train yourself to expect your desires.

Whenever you take inspired actions towards what you want, you are creating more feelings of expectation for it, as you anticipate positive results out of your baby steps. You feel like you are moving closer physically and energetically towards what you want, and you increase the likelihood and probability of it coming about. Taking action increases anticipation because we naturally equate doing something with accomplishing something. We naturally expect to gain fruits from our labor, and thus taking these baby actions shore up the expecting and receiving.
