To be in your self-worth means to have the inner belief that you are enough, and be in peaceful acceptance of everything that you are as a person. It’s knowing that you are capable and valuable and deserving of good things, and you feel secure within yourself independent of external validations.
Today, I’d like to share with you 5 things that you can do on a daily basis- five easy habits that will help build your self-worth and embody your unique value everyday 🙂
1. Practice being grateful for all that you are right now. Start the habit of noticing and affirming everything within yourself that you are thankful for. For instance, look at your physical body and see the things that are working and functioning well for you. Appreciate your mind for being clear, positive and capable of producing great ideas. Notice your values and personality traits that you are proud of and are deeply admiring. This is about celebrating yourself and becoming your own cheerleader everyday. Because paying attention to these things will help eliminate feelings of inadequacy, elevate your belief in your value, and amplify all of the goodness that you already possess.
2. View all of your past experiences as valuable additions to your life instead of something to be ashamed of, and embrace it all (positive and negative) as part of what makes you a greater person than before. Begin seeing all of your experiences as meaningful gifts in your life, instead of regretting that they happened or seeing them as a loss. All of them served as valuable lessons and nuggets of wisdom along your journey, making you so much wealthier and wiser now– better than you were before. They were all “elevation points” that made your life so much richer and colorful.
3. Choose your well-being first, and be ok with saying no. Nurturing your self-worth means you are choosing the things that align with what you want in life, and at the same time you are willing to say no, without guilt, to those that are not for your highest good. You are essentially investing in yourself and choosing what will elevate your life, instead of self-sacrificing and pleasing others at the expense of your own well-being.
4. Have complete trust in your own path without comparison. Begin to embrace the unfolding of your life and honor your unique journey without needing to compare it to others. Understand that you have your own timing and your own soul destiny to live, that is independent from the path of others. There’s no need to evaluate how well you’re doing by looking at other people’s lives and feeling as if something is wrong with yours. It is never wrong, it’s just different. And you just carry the belief that life is happening for you, and your path is unfolding perfectly- uniquely carved out for you.
5. Use affirmations that will open yourself up to more good things. Start having your own list of affirmations that will remind you of your self-worth, such as:
I love everything that I am right now and my everyday is just
getting better and better.
I embrace all of my past and my life is filled with so much
value and wisdom.
I know that I’m always at the right place at the right time, and all is well in my world.
I hope this has been a helpful read for you. Let’s all embrace our self-worth one present moment at a time! 🙂
